Open a whole project, move quickly between segments and apply changes across files. Keep your attention on the language instead of repeatedly opening documents and waiting for screens to load.
Privacy through local processing
Your translation files and memories stay on your computer. The browser reads and writes only the files or folders you choose. Project contents and TM searches are processed locally; the server manages accounts and serves the app without receiving your translation data.
Translation memory in reach
See exact and similar source matches as you move between segments. Search a phrase in either language, inspect highlighted results and reuse suitable wording. Editor similarity scores stay distinct from original Trados matches.
Consistency across the project
Filter source or target text. Find and replace one occurrence at a time, or across the selected scope. Set the current segment or all filtered segments to Translated or Draft, with shared undo.
Review and save with care
Keep original Trados match information visible and highlight high TM matches with an adjustable percentage threshold. Save changes across both views, with local backups and checks for outside file changes.
Bookmark a segment. Return when you’re ready.
Keep track of wording to revisit, questions to resolve, or passages worth comparing. Click the bookmark beside a segment, then turn on Bookmarked to see your marked segments in either view. Use Has comments to find segments with comments, or combine both filters with text and status filters.
Bookmarks are shared between both views and saved immediately in a local sidecar JSON file beside the translation file. They do not change Trados content or translation status. Keep the sidecar with the file to retain your bookmarks.

Compare wording at a glance
Find repeated source passages with different translations. See up to five contrasting versions at the top, with occurrence counts and wording differences highlighted. Expand the review to full screen, or keep it in a pane beneath your translation.
Make considered corrections
Open any occurrence in the Reference view without moving Main. Select the editable occurrences you want to change and apply shared wording in one undoable operation. Locked and tagged segments remain reference-only for bulk correction.
Review runs locally on your computer. Differences may be intentional—you decide what to change.

Nitro works with local Trados SDLXLIFF projects and SDLTM translation memories. It is useful for reviewing completed translations, correcting recurring phrases, or translating with TM reference close at hand.
Work directly beside the source, with adjustable text size, rows that fit their contents and visible, protected tags. Select and copy text from the source or either language in TM results.
Text edits return a segment to Draft. Locked segments and unresolved tracked changes remain protected. Tagged TM suggestions can be used as reference; automatic insertion currently supports untagged suggestions.
